Job Description
Job Summary we are looking for 1 to 2 full time or part time barbers with valid apprentice or master licenses to come aboard the team, the shop retains an old school feel and atmosphere while keeping up with modern trends and styles, stationed in a high traffic area in downtown Hartford in the heart of Ohio county just 25 mins away from Owensboro! $120 a week booth rent with 1 free week a year to use at your leisure, we offer many supplies and very flexible with time and and availability. clientele preferred but not necessary to join the team. Looking for someone who is pass about the art of being a barber and working with the community! Duties Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments using straight razors and other tools. Provide expert advice on hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, and styling techniques tailored to each client's preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and workstations in compliance with health regulations. Engage with clients through effective communication, ensuring their needs are understood and exceeded. Upsell retail products like hair care items, styling products to enhance client satisfaction. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling retail transactions with retail math accuracy. Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling, coloring techniques, and customer service best practices. Stay current on industry trends such as current styles, trends, equipment and sanitation standards to deliver innovative services. Skills Valid barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry. Expertise in using straight razors for grooming services with a focus on safety and sanitation. Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration. Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing exceptional customer service. Familiarity with store management practices including retail sales strategies and front desk operations. Experience mentoring team members in hair styling, barbering techniques, or customer service excellence.
