BARBER INSTRUCTOR

Mosley School of Cosmetology - Kentwood / Grand Rapids, Michigan Immediate Opening | Relocation Assistance Available Mosley School of Cosmetology is expanding our Barber Program and is seeking an experienced Licensed Barber Instructor to join our growing team. Our Barber Program begins September 21, 2026 , and we are hiring an additional Barber Instructor who is passionate about educating, mentoring, and preparing the next generation of professional barbers.

If you are a qualified Barber Instructor currently living outside the Grand Rapids area, Mosley School of Cosmetology is willing to provide relocation assistance to help the right candidate transition to Grand Rapids, Michigan. We understand that relocating for a new career opportunity can be a major decision. We are prepared to work with the selected candidate to help make the move and transition to West Michigan easier. Out-of-area and out-of-state Barber Instructors are encouraged to apply. IMPORTANT LICENSING REQUIREMENT

This is a Barber Instructor position , not a Barber-only position. Candidates must be eligible to meet the State of Michigan requirements to work as a Barber Instructor . A Michigan Barber License alone does not qualify an individual to teach as a licensed Barber Instructor. Preference will be given to candidates who already possess a current Michigan Barber Instructor License issued through LARA . Position Responsibilities Teach barber theory and practical barbering techniques Supervise students in the classroom and student clinic Demonstrate haircutting, fades, beard grooming, shaving, styling, sanitation, and infection control Track student attendance, grades, and academic progress Maintain student records and documentation Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing requirements and NACCAS accreditation standards Prepare students for successful completion of licensing requirements Maintain a professional, structured, and positive learning environment Mentor students as they prepare to enter the professional barbering industry Participate in orientations, recruitment events, school activities, and graduations

Minimum Qualifications Required:
