We're your reliable experts for ready-to-wear cuts and custom color. For short and long hair, curly and straight hair, balayage and traditional highlights, and everything in between. We love working with people of all genders and backgrounds. We're queer-friendly, nonbinary-friendly, and disability-friendly . Here at Serpentine Salon we are looking for someone to work a full time schedule Tuesday-Saturday ( Saturdays are a must) as well as a stylist that already has an established line of clients. We are a commission based salon at 50% commission as well as offer group health insurance. We offer 4 weeks of unpaid time off throughout the year. At Serpentine Salon we are community involved and do community outreach throughout the year. We are located at University Place in Chapel Hill Duties Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and texturing services tailored to each client's preferences and features. Use salon software like Glossgenius to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations efficiently. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, offering expert advice on hair care products, retail sales, and upselling opportunities Experience Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist with a strong portfolio of diverse services. Knowledge of color theory for creating vibrant or subtle hair color transformations. Familiarity with salon management tools such as Glossgenius or similar salon software for scheduling and client management. Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members while providing exceptional customer service. Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Pay:
$200.00 - $400.00 per day
