00/Hour | One Position | Approximately 17 Hours Per Week Independent Equality Solutions LLC (IES) is hiring one experienced HPC Direct Support Professional to provide services to two individuals—one in Medina, Ohio , and one in Barberton, Ohio .

MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH CLIENTS
We are hiring ONE employee to work the complete schedule for BOTH the Medina and Barberton clients. If you are only available for one location or cannot work all of the scheduled days and hours listed below, please do not apply. Your application will not be considered. SCHEDULEMedina Client Tuesday-Thursday 10:00 AM-1:00 PM 9 hours per week This position involves providing HPC services in the individual's home and community.
Responsibilities include:
Taking the individual to scheduled appointments Providing transportation to community activities Helping the individual get out into the community Shopping, errands, and other activities Supporting independence and individual choice Following ISP goals and outcomes Assisting with daily living needs as required Medication administration as required Completing accurate service documentation The goal is to provide active, person-centered support—not simply remain in the home for the entire shift. Barberton Client Thursday & Friday 3:00 PM-7:00 PM 8 hours per week Staff must be able to pick the individual up from work in Barberton at 3:00 PM on both Thursday and Friday. After pickup, staff will support the individual with activities based on their interests, needs, and choices until 7:00 PM.
This may include:
Community outings Shopping Restaurants Recreational activities Running errands Appointments Activities at home Other activities the individual chooses We want staff who will help the individual get out, stay active, and participate in the community , while respecting what the individual wants to do with their time. Cats in the Home The Barberton individual has cats in the home. Applicants must be comfortable working in a home with cats and cannot have an issue that would prevent them from safely providing services in that environment.
TOTAL SCHEDULE
Tuesday:
10:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Medina Wednesday:
    10:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Medina Thursday:
    10:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Medina AND 3:00 PM-7:00 PM
  • Barberton Friday:
    3:00 PM-7:00 PM
  • Barberton Approximately 17 hours per week Again, this is ONE position covering BOTH clients.
You must be able to work the entire schedule. We are not hiring separate employees for Medina and Barberton.
TRANSPORTATION IS A MAJOR PART OF THIS POSITION
Applicants must have: A valid driver's license A reliable personal vehicle Current automobile insurance A safe and insurable driving record Willingness to transport individuals in their personal vehicle Dependable transportation to both Medina and Barberton You will be responsible for transporting individuals to appointments, activities, errands, and community outings. For the Barberton assignment, being able to arrive at the individual's workplace by 3:00 PM for pickup is an essential responsibility of the position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide one-on-one HPC services Follow each individual's ISP and identified outcomes Encourage independence rather than doing everything for the individual Support community participation and meaningful activities Provide transportation to appointments and activities Assist with errands and shopping Assist with ADLs when required Administer medications as authorized Maintain appropriate professional boundaries Communicate concerns or changes to management Complete accurate documentation for every service provided Maintain reliable and consistent attendance
DOCUMENTATION RESPONSIBILITIES
Documentation is a required part of this position.
Staff must:
Complete accurate daily service notes Document ISP goals and outcomes Clearly document activities and supports provided Document community participation Complete medication documentation when applicable Report incidents or significant changes appropriately Submit documentation completely and on time Incomplete, copied, inaccurate, or consistently late documentation is unacceptable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • REQUIRED Applicants must have: Minimum 1 year of verifiable DSP experience Current Ohio DODD Medication Administration Certification Current CPR and First Aid Certification Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities Experience with HPC services, ISPs, and documentation Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle Current automobile insurance Acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to transport individuals Ability to pass required Ohio DODD background checks High school diploma or GED Strong attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently in clients' homes and in the community Comfort working in a home with cats
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We want an experienced DSP who understands that good HPC services involve engagement, independence, and community participation . This is not a position where staff should spend the shift sitting on their phone while the individual sits at home.

We are specifically hiring one person for both clients . Before applying, make sure you can work: Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM in Medina AND Thursday-Friday, 3:00 PM-7:00 PM in Barberton You must also be able to pick up the Barberton individual from work at 3:00 PM and be comfortable working around cats. If you cannot meet all of these requirements, your application will not be considered.
