Job Description

Hair Stylist / Blowout Artist - Resident ArtistJob Summary The Guest House Blow Dry Bar is a boutique, hospitality-driven blow dry experience in Sandy, Utah. More than a traditional salon, The Guest House was created around the feeling of checking into a luxury stay — elevated hair, personalized service, signature amenities, and an experience guests look forward to coming back to. We are growing our team and looking for talented, outgoing Resident Artists who love styling hair, connecting with people, and creating an exceptional guest experience. This is a blowout and styling-focused position — no cutting or color. Resident Artists perform signature blowouts, dry styling, event finishes, hair and scalp treatments, and customized amenities while delivering The Guest House experience from check-in to check-out. We're looking for artists who are dependable, coachable, confident behind the chair, and excited to grow with a newer concept. Responsibilities Perform professional blowouts, dry styling, curls, waves, volume and polished finishes Provide personalized consultations and recommend styles based on each guest's hair, lifestyle and desired result Perform luxury hair and scalp treatments and Guest House amenities Deliver a consistent, hospitality-focused guest experience Educate guests on professional products, treatments and at-home hair care Recommend appropriate service upgrades and retail products Maintain clean, organized and guest-ready styling and shampoo areas Follow Guest House service protocols, timing and brand standards Build relationships with guests and encourage repeat bookings Participate in ongoing education and training Contribute to a positive, professional and collaborative team environment Support Guest House events, promotions and social content when appropriate Qualifications Utah cosmetology license or currently enrolled in a cosmetology program and eligible to work within Utah requirements Strong blow-drying and styling skills or a genuine desire to become exceptional at them Professional, polished and guest-focused Friendly, confident and comfortable communicating with guests Dependable and punctual Coachable and willing to follow established service protocols Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable recommending products, treatments and service upgrades Weekend availability is strongly preferred Previous salon or blow-dry experience is a plus, but the right personality, work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important Why The Guest House? The Guest House isn't your average salon job. We've created a boutique blow dry experience centered around great hair, hospitality and the little details — from our signature drink menu and customized amenities to our Resort Collection of signature looks. Resident Artists receive hands-on training in The Guest House service experience and have opportunities to grow their skills, clientele and presence alongside a growing local brand. If you love styling hair, creating memorable experiences and want to be part of something different from the traditional salon environment, we'd love to meet you.
