We are seeking an experienced, motivated Salon Manager to lead our Fairfax location, develop a strong team, and drive customer and sales growth. About Us :

Since reopening in May 2024, our Fairfax salon has built a growing presence in the local community and was recognized as Fairfax's Best Barbershop in 2026. We provide quality haircuts in a friendly, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment. We also give back through partnerships with local schools, support for veterans and first responders, and community events serving neighbors in need. Our team members have opportunities to participate in these efforts and help strengthen the relationships that make our salon successful. We are looking for a motivated manager who will lead by example, develop and support our stylists, deliver an excellent customer experience, and help the salon continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead by example by delivering high-quality haircuts efficiently and consistently according to the Great Clips service model. Engage each customer with a warm welcome, thoughtful consultation, and personalized service that builds trust and encourages repeat visits. Coach stylists to conduct more effective consultations, understand each customer's needs, recommend appropriate services and products, and deliver an excellent overall experience. Provide regular, constructive feedback that helps team members strengthen their technical skills, customer service, productivity, and confidence. Create a positive, professional, and collaborative salon environment in which team members support one another. Help resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, using feedback as an opportunity to improve the team. Promote product sales by coaching stylists to make helpful, needs-based recommendations. Maintain high standards for salon cleanliness, organization, appearance, and daily operating procedures. Be consistently available to work at least one weekend day—Saturday or Sunday—each week and provide additional schedule flexibility when business needs require it.

Qualifications :

A current, active Virginia cosmetology or barber license is required. Previous salon management, assistant management, or team-lead experience is strongly preferred. Previous Great Clips experience is highly valued but not required. Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive workplace. Strong customer-service and communication skills, including the ability to coach stylists on effective consultations and customer engagement. Ability to lead by example and work effectively in a fast-paced salon while following the Great Clips system. Dependable, organized, energetic, and committed to the salon's growth and success. Commitment to maintaining a clean, professional, and well-organized salon. Availability to work at least one weekend day—Saturday or Sunday—each week.
