General Public - G Job Duties Provide basic barber services to the resident population in accordance with agency policy. (Afternoon/Evening hours) Minimum Qualifications Possess valid Virginia license as a cosmetologist Proficient technical skills in basic barber/grooming services and with barber tools.
Ability to:
identify existing or potential scalp problems; establish and maintain effective communication with residents, co- workers and facility staff; and ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical computations to meet documentation and reporting requirements Fundamental knowledge of the principles, practices, services and techniques unique to a therapeutic community environment. Knowledge, skills and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing (prefer basic word processing and computer skills) Ability to use good judgment Ability to perform duties at a fast pace with frequent change Ability to interact with other professionals from various disciplines Ability to administer CPR and First Aid Available to work alternate work schedules (evenings, weekends and holidays) Additional Considerations Previous experience in long-term care setting.
