Hair Stylist - Sharkey's Cuts for Kids, Maple Valley / Black Diamond Sharkey's Cuts for Kids is looking for a licensed, energetic, and friendly Hair Stylist to join our fun, fast-paced team! We specialize in kids' haircuts (ages 0-14) and adults, and we're all about creating a WOW experience for every family that walks through our doors. What You'll Do as Hair Stylist Provide high-quality haircuts and basic styling for children (ages 0-14) and adults as Hair Stylist Perform a variety of hair services including cutting and styling tailored to client preferences Create a fun, calm, and positive experience for children and parents Communicate clearly with parents to understand desired styles Use kid-friendly techniques to help children feel comfortable and confident Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workstation at all times Sanitize tools and equipment according to state and health guidelines Assist with opening and closing duties as needed Support a fast-paced, team-oriented salon environment Upsell services and retail products when appropriate Follow salon policies, procedures, and safety standards What We're Looking For Hair Stylist Valid Washington State Cosmetology or Hair Design License Friendly, patient, and energetic personality Passion for working with children and families Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently in a busy salon environment Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Experience with kids' haircuts is a plus (but not required — training provided!) Schedule for Hair Stylist Full-time & Part-time available (20-40 hours/week) Must be available to work weekends Physical Requirements for Hair Stylist Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, and lift light items Comfortable working in a lively, sometimes noisy environment Pay & Perks $22-40 per hour (plus tips, if applicable) Employee discounts Free parking Ongoing training and support Opportunities for growth within the company
