In this dynamic role, you'll support our talented stylists by assisting with hair care services, managing client appointments, and ensuring the salon runs smoothly from the front desk to tidying up the salon. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in the beauty industry while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a pristine salon environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will be key to elevating our clients' experience and fostering a positive, energetic atmosphere. The goal is to eventually have your own hair booth here at the salon to serve walk-in clients. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly upon arrival, check-in appointments, and manage scheduling using salon software. Assist stylists with hair care services including hair wash, coloring and blow drying. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations (along with sweeping and tidying up the backroom color lab). Support store management by handling retail sales of hair care products Manage front desk duties including answering phones, responding to client inquiries, and coordinating appointment bookings Provide excellent client communication by understanding their needs and offering personalized recommendations for hair care or retail products Qualifications Experience working in the beauty industry with knowledge of hair styling techniques, hair coloring, barbering, and cosmetology practices Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean salon environment Ability to perform retail sales through upselling and retail math skills to enhance client satisfaction and sales goals Basic understanding of color theory, store management principles, and client communication strategies Certification or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Embark on a rewarding career journey where your passion for beauty meets your desire to provide outstanding service.
