Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Hair Stylist with valid CT state cosmetology or barber license to support our salon team in delivering exceptional hair care services. In this dynamic role, you will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to foster a welcoming environment, mentor team members, and ensure smooth salon operations. Duties Assist in managing daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory, and client flow Provide expert hair cutting and hair care services using current techniques and trends Support team mentoring by sharing knowledge Ensure all sanitation standards are maintained to promote a safe and hygienic environment Utilize salon software for client records, and service & retail sales tracking Engage with clients through effective communication about services, retail products, and upselling opportunities Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and handling retail transactions Qualifications Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in hair cutting & styling Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and team members effectively Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety Familiarity with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail Certification in cosmetology or barbering as required by state regulations Join us to inspire confidence through your artistry while helping our salon thrive!
