Full Job Description Job Description:
The JCC of Greater New Haven is hiring for a Spa Desk Attendant with great customer service abilities! We are looking for someone who is available to work evening and weekend shifts. The Spa Desk attendant role is a professional and friendly representative of the JCC and the Spa who thrives in a varied and fast-paced work environment. Exceptional customer service is paramount to this role, as the position serves as the primary point of contact for clients and members. The Spa Desk serves as an information center and spa services center, offering tours, directions, managing all aspects of spa services appointments, and overseeing the care and utilization of facilities, including whirlpools and spas, as well as providing towels.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using Club Automation and relevant calendar systems Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current promotions, services, and offerings Assist treatment specialists by promoting services and specialties to clients during sessions Utilize computer systems proficiently to manage scheduling and service operations Process payments and redeem services accurately and securely Provide excellent customer service, including greeting guests, assisting with inquiries, and resolving concerns as needed Conduct facility tours for prospective members as requested Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including routine tasks such as cleaning the dryer lint screen and restocking items as needed. Divert attention to medical emergencies in the building as needed Assist with whirlpool chemicals (will train)
Job Requirements:
Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in scheduling software and basic computer applications Professional demeanor and a team-oriented attitude Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends First Aid and CPR certification preferred
