Job Description:
Resting Rainbow of Metro Detroit provides compassionate pet cremation and memorial services to grieving families across the Metro Detroit area. We're looking for a caring, reliable individual to join our team in a part-time or on-call role, with potential to grow into a full-time position.
What You'll Do:
Create clay paw prints, ink paw prints, and other keepsake memorial items for families Pick up deceased pets from client homes and partner veterinary clinics Check in customers and handle facility operations during evening and weekend on-call shifts Provide warm, respectful, and professional support to grieving pet owners during a difficult time
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate, detail-oriented person comfortable working around deceased animals Must live within 10 miles of our Auburn Hills facility (for timely on-call response) Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (for pet pickups) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations with empathy Availability for evenings and weekends; flexibility is a plus Comfortable lifting pets of varying sizes
Schedule:
Part-time/on-call, evening and weekend hours
Pay:
Competitive, based on experience
