Licensed Aesthetician Vessel Wellness — Kansas City, Missouri About Vessel Vessel Wellness is a contemporary urban oasis in the heart of historic downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Our space brings together an infrared dry sauna, open-air Epsom salt float tank, an expansive range of massage therapies, and tailored facial and skincare treatments. Throughout Vessel, we thoughtfully curate local and national artwork, retail, and experiences designed to create moments of reflection, discovery, and restoration. We are currently building our opening team and looking for talented, thoughtful Licensed Estheticians who want to help shape the culture of Vessel from the beginning. Closed We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions , with a variety of shifts available within our operating hours. What You'll Do As a Licensed Esthetician at Vessel, you'll provide thoughtful, individualized skincare treatments while helping us create an exceptional experience from the moment a guest enters the treatment room.

Responsibilities include:

Provide high-quality facials and skincare treatments tailored to each guest's skin, needs, and goals Conduct thoughtful consultations and skin assessments before treatment Recommend and customize treatments based on skin type, sensitivities, contraindications, lifestyle, and desired outcomes Clearly explain treatments, products, and appropriate at-home care Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, and relevant contraindication information Prepare, reset, and maintain treatment rooms according to Vessel's cleanliness and presentation standards Maintain exceptional sanitation, hygiene, and infection-control practices Create a calm, welcoming environment while respecting each guest's comfort, boundaries, and privacy Develop lasting client relationships through consistent, thoughtful care Become knowledgeable about Vessel's skincare products and retail offerings and make recommendations when genuinely appropriate for the guest Stay informed about skincare ingredients, techniques, products, and evolving industry practices Work collaboratively with massage therapists, fellow estheticians, guest experience staff, management, and the broader Vessel team Participate in paid training, team meetings, and continued development as we establish Vessel's service standards Help us build a culture that values excellent care, reliability, professionalism, curiosity, and kindness What We're Looking For Current Missouri Esthetician License in good standing Professional liability insurance Strong understanding of skin anatomy, common skin conditions, ingredients, contraindications, sanitation, and professional skincare practices Excellent consultation and client-care skills Reliability and professionalism Ability to assess individual needs and thoughtfully adapt treatments An interest in continued learning and developing your craft Comfort discussing skincare products and home-care routines in an educational, non-pressured way Comfort working collaboratively as part of a new and growing team Availability for some evenings and weekends A genuine interest in creating an exceptional guest experience Modalities we are especially interested in are lash artists, wax specialists, comfortable with chemical peels Experience with multiple facial techniques, skincare lines, or advanced modalities is valued, but we're more interested in finding excellent estheticians than checking every possible box. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, specialties, and levels of experience. Compensation Licensed Estheticians are W-2 employees and retain 100% of their tips. Compensation will consist of hourly wages or service-based commission, depending on experience and employment arrangement. Hourly can range from $20 - $25 hour and commission starts at 30% of services rendered. Benefits packages will be available to eligible employees after six months of employment. Paid training and opening-team onboarding anticipated to begin August 21st, with Vessel opening to guests in early Fall 2026.
