Head Spa Specialist Synergy Medical Spa Beaufort, South Carolina Position Overview The Head Spa Specialist is responsible for delivering luxury head spa services and scalp-focused treatments within a boutique medical spa environment. This role combines relaxation-based head spa therapies with advanced scalp care designed to support scalp health, hair vitality, and overall wellness. The ideal candidate is a licensed cosmetologist who is passionate about scalp care, client experience, and delivering high-quality service in a professional spa setting. Key Responsibilities Head Spa & Scalp Treatments Perform luxury head spa services including scalp cleansing, massage, exfoliation, hydration treatments, and relaxation protocols. Provide scalp-focused treatments designed to improve scalp health and support hair vitality. Customize services based on individual scalp assessment and client goals. Educate clients on scalp care and recommended maintenance treatments. Maintain a calm, professional, and luxury treatment environment. Client Experience Deliver an exceptional client experience from consultation through post-treatment care. Recommend appropriate retail products to support scalp health and at-home care. Educate clients on treatment benefits, maintenance schedules, and recommended services. Promote spa memberships, curated packages, and available treatments when appropriate. Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate documentation for all services performed. Follow established treatment protocols and safety standards. Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized condition. Adhere to all sanitation and professional standards required within the spa. Marketing & Social Media Assist with social media content including treatment videos, educational posts, and promotional material. Participate in marketing initiatives to promote head spa and scalp wellness services. Contribute to showcasing treatment experiences and client education in a professional manner. Qualifications Active Cosmetology License required. Prior experience working in a spa or salon environment, particularly with scalp treatments, massage services, or hair care treatments, is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of scalp and hair anatomy, common scalp conditions, and techniques that support healthy scalp function and hair vitality. Skilled in performing scalp massage, cleansing, conditioning, and relaxation-based scalp treatments. Ability to safely and effectively operate specialized head spa equipment and tools. Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive treatment motions with precision and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients on scalp care, treatments, and recommended products. Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and sanitation. Professional Development Ongoing education and guided training in head spa services, scalp care treatments, and spa protocols will be provided. Expected to remain informed about spa products, ingredients, and their benefits to effectively educate clients and support retail recommendations.
