We are seeking a few individuals that would be able to work various part-time hours for visitations and funeral services. This job comes with a very flexible work schedule! We have three locations and you will be asked to work services at each location, so proximity to 60010, 60047 and 60014 should be considered when applying.

Responsibilities Include:

• Greeting and assisting guests as they arrive to the funeral home
• Providing support and assistance to families during visitations and funeral services
• Providing exceptional customer service to families and attendees
• Assisting Funeral Directors on services that take place at the funeral home and other facilities
• Assisting with the set up and break down of chapels before and after services, including moving caskets, urns, flowers, and any items brought in by family members
• Answering phones and directing callers to the person best suited to answer their questions and/or taking detailed messages to clearly relay to the proper individual
• Delivering flowers and other items to the luncheon or other location following the conclusion of services, if needed
• Cleaning up the funeral home after each service, including vacuuming, taking out trash, mopping, etc.

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in emotionally sensitive situations
• Valid Driver's License and insurable driving record Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
