Job Description
Overview Johnson Williams is seeking a compassionate individual to assist our funeral directors and transfer care specialists in the transport of the deceased. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and respectfully removing decedents from their place of death, and transferring them to our client funeral homes, hospitals, and medical examiners. This position is for Friday and Saturday overnight. The hours are 6:00pm - 7:00am both days. Please consider these hours before applying. Responsibilities
- Drive our removal vehicles to and from the scene of death, making sure yourself, team members, and the deceased arrive safely.
- Assist our funeral directors and transfer care specialists with wrapping the deceased and placing them onto our mortuary cots in a dignified manner.
- Safely loading and unloading the deceased from our vehicles.
- Maintaining professional demeanor and interacting compassionately towards the deceased's loved ones. Requirements
- Valid driver's license, and adequate driving record.
- Ability to drive at night.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts.
