Job Description Greeting and Assisting Visitors:
Welcoming families and guests in a respectful and compassionate manner. Directing visitors to the appropriate areas within the funeral home (e.g., arrangement office, chapel, visitation rooms).
Phone and Communication Management:
Answering phones, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed. Providing information to callers and visitors, answering questions about funeral services and procedures.
Administrative Tasks:
Processing paperwork, including death certificates, contracts, register books and other forms Maintaining accurate records and files related to funeral arrangements. Type program mock-ups Log flowers Submit newspaper obituaries Assisting with data entry and other clerical tasks.
General Support:
Assisting with the preparation of funeral services, such as setting up for visitations and handing out service folders. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Running errands as needed, such as picking up or delivering items.
Other Duties:
May assist with coordinating details of funeral services with clergy, family members, and other staff. May assist with the transportation of flowers and memorabilia. May be required to assist with funeral services. All other duties as assigned
