This dynamic position combines technical expertise with heartfelt customer service, ensuring that each funeral service is conducted with dignity, respect, and professionalism. As a Licensed Funeral Director, you will coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, oversee logistical operations, and provide empathetic support to grieving families. Your dedication will help create meaningful memorial experiences while maintaining the highest standards of mortuary care and organizational excellence. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage funeral services from initial consultation to final disposition, ensuring all arrangements meet client needs and legal requirements Provide bereavement support and compassionate communication to grieving families, guiding them through decision-making processes with sensitivity and clarity Prepare deceased individuals through embalming, cosmetic application, and dissection techniques to ensure respectful presentation Handle manual lifting and heavy handling tasks safely when transporting or positioning bodies using proper sanitation and safety protocols Operate company vehicles for transportation of remains and family members, adhering to all safety regulations Plan and execute funeral events, including logistics coordination, venue setup, and coordination with clergy or celebrants Maintain accurate records of all funeral services, documentation, and mortuary procedures using funeral service technology systems Ensure compliance with mortuary science principles, anatomy knowledge, physiology standards, and sanitation regulations at all times Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Funeral Director with active certification in funeral directing and mortuary science principles Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, embalming techniques, cosmetic application for deceased persons, and dissection procedures Experience in cremation processes and understanding of related legal and environmental considerations Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple funeral arrangements simultaneously Excellent client communication skills with a focus on empathy, clarity, and professionalism during sensitive situations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mortuary equipment effectively Familiarity with funeral event planning software and technology tools used in modern funeral services Knowledge of sanitation standards, dissection procedures, organ donation protocols, and bereavement support practices Join us in delivering respectful farewell services that honor lives lived.
