Team Effort:
Work as a team to solve problems and complete work to the highest standards, responsible for preparation of a decedent for final disposition and storage and disposition of cremated remains. Additionally, you will help with managing proper Mortuary supplies and casket stock; maintenance of Mortuary spaces, including preparation rooms and coolers; and accurate recordkeeping of work performed. Education
AS Mortuary Science
California Embalmer's License Experience
Must be a licensed embalmer in the state of California. Knowledge
California state laws and regulations:
CA Code of Regulations Title 16, Division 12. (Funeral Regulations)
CA Code of Regulations Title 16, Division 23. (Cemetery Regulations)
Business and Professions Code
Cemetery and Funeral Law
Mortuary procedures, rules, and general practice
Medical terminology
Familiarity with Microsoft software, including the latest versions of Windows, Word, Excel, and Teams. Familiarity with Oracle's NetSuite a plus. Skills & Abilities
Able to use all embalming instruments, machines, and body/casket lifts
Team player able to work well with different personalities
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal Working Conditions Physical Demands
