Position Overview:
As a Funeral Director, you will work hands-on in our cremation facility and oversee administrative and logistical duties. This full-time role may start with reduced hours for training, evolving into a permanent position. This role requires compassion, attention to detail, and flexibility, balancing family interaction with operational execution.
Responsibilities:
Guide families through arrangements with clarity and compassion, providing consistent, high quality service. • Perform administrative duties including paperwork completion, office tasks, and arranging memorial services. Participate in marketing, accounts receivable, and other business support activities as needed. Oversee death certificates, EDRS, and documentation to ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate. Support case tracking from intake through final disposition, maintaining clear communication with team members on case status Prepare human remains for water and flame cremation following state and federal guidelines. Transport decedents and deliver cremated remains to families, as well as pick up death certificates. Provide on-call support a minimum of seven shifts per month
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with a "can-do" attitude and enthusiasm for the environment and helping people. Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service. Proficiency with office software and basic administrative tasks. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Valid Funeral Director's license within the state of California. Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs and work in warm weather conditions.

Compensation:
$24 - $27 per hour based on experience and qualifications. How to
