Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday, Full time, 9am-5:30pm.

Pay:

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor or the Executive Director, the Laundry Aide Launders Residents clothing, linens, towels, bedding, etc. per the laundry schedule. The Laundry Aide communicates regularly with the Administrator on any changes, concerns, and/or the ordering of needed supplies. The Laundry Aide is also available for other housekeeping duties including keeping the laundry room clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Laundry Aide you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following laundry and housekeeping duties: 1. Wash all Residents personal laundry.

Which includes the following:

a. Check all pockets before washing. b. Wash personal laundry separate from linens or facility towels. c. Wash resident's linens according to schedule. d. Never mix Residents laundry with other Residents, regardless of how small the load may be. e. Keep nametags on all loads including loads in the washer and/or dryer f. Always use bleach a. Never wash resident's towels with any other department's towels. 2. Wash all laundry according to the Laundry schedule and any other newly soiled laundry that may need washing. 3. Clean, mop, sweep, organize, and stock the laundry room on a daily basis. 4. Be available to perform housekeeping duties (See housekeeping policies and procedures).

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• It will be mandatory within the first (7) days of employment that this person have a Health Certification signed by a Physician. This certification must verify that this person has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with individual's job performance.
• The Laundry Aide must be in good physical health and must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.
• The Laundry Aide must have knowledge and experience with the laundering of personal garments, linens and towels.
• This position requires orientation to Cornerstone its policies and procedures, physical plant and the Residents.
• The Company will provide ongoing orientation to job responsibilities, including disaster, first Aide and emergency procedures.
• This person must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment.
• This person understands that Cornerstone operates as a Drug Free Workplace per Policies set forth in the Company Handbook.
• The Laundry Aide routinely lifts up to 20lbs.

This person also does, bending, stretching, reaching, stooping, crouching, sweeping, mopping, pushing and pulling on a daily basis.
