Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of textiles. Handle laundry materials with proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push cart usage, to transport linens and garments safely. Sort, inspect, and prepare textiles for washing or dry cleaning based on fabric type and cleaning requirements. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the laundry area by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate laundry detergents. Deliver clean laundry items promptly to designated areas or clients using push carts or delivery vehicles while following safety standards in production. Follow all safety procedures related to chemical use, machine operation, and materials handling to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and ensure proper storage of chemicals and textiles in compliance with safety standards. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, textile care, and laundry services including washing, dry cleaning, and sanitation practices. Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment finishing equipment effectively. Experience with materials handling, heavy lifting, and manual handling procedures to manage large loads safely. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocol guidelines. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, calculating load sizes, or managing inventory, using POS to handle payments, basic computer skills to handle old/new customers information and rout details. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or team members during delivery or Cleaning processes. Knowledge of sanitation practices and the proper use of laundry detergents and chemicals to ensure hygiene compliance.
