As a Laundry Aide at Settlers Ridge Care Center in Celina, TX you will be responsible for the collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of facility linens, resident clothing, towels, and other washable items in accordance with established infection control, safety, and sanitation standards. The Laundry Aide helps maintain an adequate supply of clean, properly handled linens and personal clothing to support the comfort, dignity, and care of residents. Job Responsibilities:

Collect soiled linens, towels, blankets, resident clothing, and other washable items from designated areas throughout the facility. Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, level of soil, and established infection control procedures. Operate commercial washers, dryers, irons, steamers, folding equipment, and other laundry equipment safely and appropriately. Measure and use detergents, disinfectants, stain removers, and other laundry chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and facility policies. Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special handling. Pre-treat stained items using approved products and procedures. Wash, dry, fold, hang, and organize clean linens and resident clothing. Return clean resident clothing and personal items to the appropriate residents or designated locations. Maintain adequate supplies of clean sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, gowns, and other facility linens. Label and properly identify resident clothing and personal belongings as required. Keep the laundry room, equipment, work surfaces, storage areas, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and sanitary. Follow established procedures for handling contaminated or infectious laundry. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling soiled or contaminated items. Maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy and dignity at all times. Follow all facility policies and procedures, including infection prevention and control, OSHA, safety, and emergency procedures. Assist with other housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned. Safety Precautions Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets. Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community's safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in laundry operations preferred. Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial laundry experience preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
