Job Summary We seek a reliable and compassionate Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team. In this role, you will manage the daily laundering of linens, towels, and personal clothing for residents recovering from substance use disorders. Your work directly supports a clean, safe, and dignified healing environment for individuals in our care. The Laundry Attendant will follow strict instructions, help manage daily cleaning duties, and assist housekeeping with cleaning and room flips when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Laundry:
Wash, dry, fold resident linens, towels, and clothing daily; steam and iron items as necessary; pay close attention to treating stains, and understand how to care for different types of linens/garments.
Operate Equipment:
Run commercial washers and dryers safely, according to manual guidelines; working knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning equipment.
Manage Inventory:
Sort, log, and distribute clean items back to resident rooms or storage areas.
Maintain Safety:
Follow strict infection control, biohazard handling, and chemical safety protocols.
Support Community:
Interact with residents with a respectful, non-judgmental, and empathetic attitude.
Clean Workspaces:
Clean lint traps, sanitize folding tables, and keep the laundry room clean and organized.
Communicate :
Report suspicious activity/items and "special orders" pertaining to laundry services to the Housekeeping Manager.
Assist:
Help manage daily cleaning duties, and assist housekeeping with cleaning and room flips when needed.
Customer Service:
Knock and announce Housekeeping presence prior to room entry; return at a later time if room is occupied Demonstrate discretion and respect of guests' privacy

QUALIFICATIONS
Must demonstrate ability to follow policies and procedures established in the Company's Employee Handbook and contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating harmoniously with co-workers and management.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous housekeeping or comparable experience in the hospitality industry Sufficient education and literacy are needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
Working knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning equipment.
