Responsibilities Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, and acrylic or nail extension applications with precision and artistry. Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement each client's style and preferences. Conduct sanitation and disinfection procedures diligently to ensure a safe, hygienic environment in compliance with salon safety protocols. Provide expert advice on nail care, maintenance, and home treatments to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Offer additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, or esthetic laser treatments when qualified. Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, and upselling retail products or additional services to enhance their experience. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to all disinfection procedures to ensure salon safety standards are met consistently. Qualifications Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of nail art and design work. Knowledge of nail care techniques including acrylic nail application, gel manicures, nail extensions, and pedicure procedures. Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting client relationships. Basic understanding of color theory, retail math for upselling products, and the ability to perform esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or laser therapy when qualified. Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations; additional certifications in hair extensions or barbering are a plus.
