Duties Perform professional manicure and pedicure services, including gel manicures, nail extensions, acrylic nail application, and nail care treatments. Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable polish shades and nail art designs that complement each client's style. Conduct skin and nail assessments to determine appropriate treatments and address specific client needs. Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations. Provide expert advice on nail care, maintenance, and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and promote retail sales. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, explain procedures clearly, and ensure a positive experience. Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, gel techniques, and esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or laser therapy to offer innovative services. Upsell additional services like body waxing. Ensure the salon environment remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times. Qualifications Proven experience working as a manicurist or nail technician within the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of nail art and extension work. Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions (including acrylics), gel manicures, and pedicure techniques. Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and overall hygiene practices. Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs. Ability to perform multiple services such as hair extensions, hair styling, barbering or body waxing is a plus. Strong retail sales skills with experience in upselling products like nail care items or skincare treatments.
