Duties Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail application, and nail extensions to meet client preferences. Apply advanced techniques such as nail art, color theory-based designs, and intricate detailing to create unique looks. Maintain strict salon safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. Educate clients on proper nail care, product usage, and maintenance tips to promote healthy nails. Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, and upselling retail products like nail care items or skincare treatments. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in nail artistry, esthetic laser treatments, and body waxing techniques to offer innovative services. Manage appointment schedules efficiently while providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits and client loyalty. Requirements Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of work. Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and sanitation standards. Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations. Familiarity with salon safety protocols, disinfection procedures, and client communication best practices. Ability to perform detailed work such as nail art design, dermabrasion techniques, eyelash extensions, hair styling, hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities to connect with diverse clients. Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills for upselling products effectively.
