Essential Elements:
Print St. Albans Country Day School is a private, non-religious, Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school in the Roseville area. We offer an academically challenging and personally enriching eduational program in a safe, nurturing environment where ethical values and good citizenship are emphasized. We are currently looking for a part-time (12 1/2 hours per week) Art Aide. The Art Aide should be patient, flexible, and organized. Although having a background in Art is not required, some knowledge of the subject matter is a plus.
Some of the duties include:
Set-up and clean-up for each class. Wash tables at the end of the day and place chairs on top of the tables. Make sure all supplies are ready. This inludes but is not limited to trimming paper, getting paints, markers and oil pastels ready, and when time allows, helping to mat and label pictures. Also, the aide helps to hang student work on bulletin boards. Assist the teacher by helping students, especially when guided demonstrations are being given. Student feedback should be positive and constructive. Use a computer to help research drawing samples for students. Generate computer labels for student work. Notify the teacher when supplies and art materials need to be replaced.
Hours are as follows:
Tuesday:
10:30-3:00,
Wednesday:
12:00-3:00, and
Friday:
