Accountability, Integrity, Communication, Relationships, Growth, Consistency, Luxury, Discipline About the Role The Salon Manager at TRU Hair Salon is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business performance, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, and maintaining the high standards of service and luxury that define our brand. This individual will work closely with the leadership team to execute strategies for growth, operational efficiency, and revenue generation, all while upholding TRU's commitment to organic, low-tox, luxury, and holistic wellness services. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who brings structure, accountability, and warmth to a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, and who takes pride in building a team culture that reflects TRU's values. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day salon operations, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal service delivery Manage scheduling, including adjusting stylist coverage based on demand and processing schedule change requests Audit the schedule for moved appointments, suspicious activity, and unapproved time-off requests Approve paid and unpaid time off, following current team capacity guidelines Check time cards biweekly (every other Monday, prior to payroll) Monitor and audit staff activity in Vish and Vagaro, including proper product weighing/re-weighing, chemical fee charges, family & friend discounts, and checkout accuracy; report any discrepancies or suspicious activity Dispute chargebacks as needed Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations Inventory & Supplies Management Inventory and reorder salon supplies, including color and back bar products, stylist tools (foil, gloves, etc.), cleaning and restroom supplies, guest amenities, and office supplies Maintain and reference Google inventory sheets Build and maintain relationships with brand representatives and distributors Facilities & Maintenance Carry out a preventative, planned maintenance program and conduct routine inspections of the premises, fixtures, fittings, utilities, and grounds Maintain and repair salon equipment, or coordinate outside service as needed Monitor equipment inventory and develop maintenance procedures Ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety Financial & Revenue Management Manage operational budgets and track financial performance against revenue goals Develop and implement strategies to meet revenue targets, including upselling, client retention initiatives, and product promotions Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to identify areas for improvement Staff Leadership & Development Onboard and train new staff members Lead and motivate a team of stylists, technicians, and administrative staff Conduct performance reviews and develop professional growth plans for staff Provide general administrative support to employees Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that reflects TRU's values Client Experience & Satisfaction Oversee client interactions to ensure exceptional service at every stage of the guest journey Address and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally Develop and support client loyalty programs and promotions that encourage repeat business Marketing & Brand Standards Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns that reflect TRU's brand values Ensure client-facing materials and communications align with the salon's brand image Track key marketing metrics, including engagement, lead generation, and promotional success Know and uphold the policies outlined in the Employee Handbook Maintain a professional appearance and abide by the salon's dress code Relationship Building & Community Engagement Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, influencers, and wellness brands to support brand visibility Represent TRU at community events and networking activities Core Competencies & Skills Leadership & People Management Proven ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team to deliver high-quality service and meet business objectives, with strong decision-making skills that empower team members while achieving operational goals.
