In this role, you will be the go-to expert for customizing, repairing, and perfecting garments to ensure every customer leaves feeling confident and satisfied. Your expertise in clothing alterations, garment construction, and fabric materials will help elevate our retail experience, making each piece uniquely tailored to our clients' needs. We're looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves transforming clothing into flawless fits. Duties Perform precise clothing alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring. Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to modify garments according to customer specifications. Consult with customers to understand their tailoring needs, offering expert advice on fabric materials and garment construction. Manage garment sewing projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality stitching and craftsmanship. Maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper handling of fabric materials and sewing tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly about alteration timelines and expectations. Experience Proven experience in clothing alterations within a fashion retail environment or tailor shop. Strong skills in garment sewing, stitching, hand sewing, and sewing machine operation. Knowledge of fabric materials, garment construction techniques, and pressing methods. Experience with designer clothing, men's suit, jacket. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, adjustments, and pattern modifications. Experience working with various types of clothing including custom apparel production. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain alteration processes and options.
