280 Animal Medical Center is an innovative, fast-growing, four-doctor practice located just south of Chelsea in Shelby County. We are a high-quality, regional companion animal practice committed to delivering "Big City Quality, Small Town Caring" and "Taking Care of People Through Their Pets." As a teaching-focused hospital committed to mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals , we are a relationship-based practice that enjoys a strong surgical caseload. We offer a highly collaborative environment that performs advanced procedures, including laser surgery, orthopedics, advanced soft tissue procedures, and laparoscopic alternatives for our patients. Position Overview We are currently seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with our veterinarians to provide top-notch nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with surgical procedures (including laser surgery, orthopedics, soft tissue, and laparoscopy). Perform dental procedures, including dental radiography. Assist with laboratory diagnostics, radiology, and advanced medical procedures. Manage client communications and prescription fulfillment. Maintain surgical instruments and uphold high standards of hospital cleanliness and safety.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience required (preferably in a fast-paced team environment). Students currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technology program are also encouraged to apply.
Skills:
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills are a must.
Attributes:
A positive, servant-hearted attitude and a passion for continuous learning and teamwork.
Availability:
Must be able to work rotating weekends.
