Full Job Description Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour Job description: About the Position We are looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping both patients and clients. We are seeking an individual who can work confidently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care and communication. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and RVTs with examinations, treatments, and procedures Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records Safely and compassionately restrain patients Collect and prepare laboratory samples Assist with radiology and diagnostic procedures Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3 years of veterinary assistant experience preferred Comfortable administering vaccines, oral medications, and SQ, IM, and IV injections Experienced with IV catheter placement Confident performing blood draws Knowledge of anesthetic monitoring equipment and patient recovery protocols The above clinical skills are essential for this position.
