We have a relaxed atmosphere with easy-going doctors, always willing to teach and help support staff grow. We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We're looking for someone with a great attitude and who enjoys coming to work every day. The ideal candidate takes initiative, eager to learn and can work independently. A Vet Assistant who is interested or working on credentialing is preferred but willing to work with the right person early in their Vet Med career. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian with medical procedures, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, •collecting samples and performing laboratory tests. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Administer medications and vaccinations to animals. Monitor animal health and provide basic care under doctor direction. Maintain records of animal health and treatments. Assist veterinarians in medical procedures. •Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and in house bloodwork. Assist in the rehabilitation of injured or sick animals. Able to work independently and autonomously •Additional responsibilities for an experienced candidate. Pay range is based on Tier placement/experience
