Job Description

Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring proper animal handling and care Provide excellent pet care by monitoring animal health, behavior, and comfort Administer medications and treatments Maintain accurate medical records for patients Handle laboratory tasks such as collecting samples for testing and processing samples Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members Utilize veterinary terminology
Requirements:
Must be available Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 7:00pm
MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
as a Veterinary Assistant Must be proficient in venipuncture for blood draws, IV catheter placement, monitoring non-intubated sedated patients and fully intubated anesthesia patients, dental prophy & x-ray Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures related to animal care Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates is essential Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn High School diploma or GED certificate Must have strong computer skills Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Work Life Balance Benefits 4 day work week options A consistent schedule Scheduled lunch breaks Closed on, and paid for, 6 major holidays Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program An array of wellness, workplace, veterinary, and financial benefits for health in all facets of life Work Environment Benefits A leadership team that truly cares for and supports our team members A team that thrives on collaboration and mutual support A team that is passionate about the pets we care for

Pay range $16.00 up to $20.00 per hour
