Support medical procedures by preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with laboratory tests or sample collection. Handle medical collections in accordance with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) regulations and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) standards. Support compliance with all veterinary clinic policies regarding drug administration, animal restraint, and safety protocols. Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal handling is highly preferred; familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus. Livestock experience including cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, and horses. Knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and pet grooming enhances your ability to provide quality care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and veterinary software for record keeping and appointment management. Experience with laboratory procedures or medical collection techniques is advantageous. Dog training or dog handling skills contribute to effective animal restraint and owner communication. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting animals or supplies safely; comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices, animal catheterization, aseptic technique, and pet grooming is desirable. Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
