Full Job Description Job Description:
Mobile Veterinary Specialists (MOVES) is seeking an Experienced Assistant or Certified Technician to support our Internal Medicine Specialist who is based in Lincoln, MA (Greater Boston area) and is available to provide mobile veterinary Internal Medicine services to general practice and emergency animal hospitals in the Boston metro area. As part of a mobile practice, you will commute to the specialist's home in Lincoln, MA and then travel to appointments in a company vehicle (technician driving is a required part of this position and all considered candidates must be comfortable driving in the city).
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Veterinary Experience:
2-3 years (Required) Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred but not required)
Requirements:
Eligible to work in the United States Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to operate a vehicle Ability to lift 50 Lbs Experience with the following preferred: 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (required) 1+ years of specialty experience (preferred) 3+ years of customer service (required) Basic medical mathematics (required) Client communication and relationship development (required) Proficiency with venipuncture (preferred) Proficiency with IV catheter placement (preferred) Proficiency with safe and reliable restraint for patients during procedures (i.e. ultrasounds) (required) Fear free certification (preferred) Proficiency with anesthesia, including induction and monitoring (preferred) Proficiency with minimally invasive procedures, including GI endoscopy procedures, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy, tracheoscopy, and bronchoscopy (preferred) Proficiency with cleaning and sterilizing equipment (preferred) Inventory management (preferred) Proficiency with iOS (required) The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. Additionally, this position requires exceptional time management, and the selected candidate will be expected to help oversee the appointment schedule to maximize efficiency. This will require proactive planning and regular communication with your partner hospitals. Together, with your specialist, you will be responsible for arriving on time with the appropriate equipment to the scheduled procedures.
Schedule:
Tuesday - Friday, Approximately 8am - 5:30pm. No on-call, evenings, weekend, or holiday coverage is required! This is an hourly position and hours may vary each day. This position is for temporary relief coverage and more specific days will be available soon.
