Job Description
Busy two doctor small animal hospital in Bellmore is seeking a part-time veterinary/ kennel assistant to join our staff. Assistants help the hospital in many ways, including walking dogs outside, transporting patients in the hospital, cleaning kennels, helping maintain the general cleanliness of the treatment room, exam rooms, lobby, and outpatient areas. Washing food dishes and litter boxes, inventory stocking, and lots of laundry.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with animal care
