Job Description

Veterinary Assistant - Fort Salonga Animal Hospital (Long Island, NY) Join our small, privately owned veterinary hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and help provide compassionate care to dogs, cats, and exotic pets! This is a paid position with on-the-job training available. Benefits available for full-time Employees Responsibilities Assist with basic medical procedures (blood draws, urine samples, diagnostics) Safely handle and restrain animals during exams and treatments Maintain medical records Prepare animals and equipment for procedures and surgery Communicate with pet owners about care instructions and appointments Provide friendly, professional front desk and client support Experience Previous with dogs, cats, and exotic animals preferred. Previous veterinary clinic or animal care experience a plus. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
