This position supports the daily operations of our feline-only hospital by maintaining a clean, safe, and low-stress environment while ensuring the comfort and well-being of every cat in our care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves cats, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and wants to gain hands-on experience in veterinary medicine. We provide training and encourage professional growth within our supportive and collaborative team. Essential Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire hospital, including feline kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, surgery, laundry, and common areas. Clean, disinfect, and prepare feline kennels to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for boarded and hospitalized patients. Feed, water, and monitor hospitalized cats according to established protocols and veterinary team instructions. Safely and compassionately handle cats using low-stress feline handling and restraint techniques. Observe and report changes in patient behavior, appetite, activity level, or overall health to the veterinary team. Accurately document patient observations and completed tasks in medical records when appropriate. Stock treatment areas, exam rooms, and hospital supplies to ensure efficient daily operations. Assist with laundry, dishwashing, waste disposal, and other housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized hospital. Support veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and assistants with patient care and daily hospital operations as needed. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols to protect patients, clients, and team members. Qualifications Genuine passion for feline health and welfare. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and cleaning. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
