Job Description

Pet Vet Is Hiring:
Full-Time Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Are you passionate about animals and ready to make a real difference in their lives? Pet Vet is looking for dedicated, full-time Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our team! You'll be caring for dogs, cats, exotics, and even wildlife — supporting our veterinarians and providing comfort and top-quality care to every patient. In this role, you'll also be a key point of contact with pet parents, so strong communication skills are a must. If you love animals and are ready for a fast-paced, rewarding career — keep reading!
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Taking temperatures and weighing animals Discussing vaccines, medications, lab work, and care recommendations with clients Educating clients on preventatives, prescription diets, rebates, and medication types Cleaning and resetting exam rooms and tables Restraining animals during exams and procedures Obtaining accurate patient histories Calming and handling frightened or injured animals (including exotics and wildlife) Administering and preparing medications and vaccinations Assisting during emergencies Maintaining medical records and logs Supporting pet owners with clear, compassionate communication Performing general hospital cleaning and laundry tasks Replenishing and rotating stock
Skills & Qualifications:
For Licensed Veterinary Technicians:
Experience with anesthesia, radiology, lab work, blood draws, and restraint A commitment to the highest standards of medical and surgical care
For Veterinary Assistants:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care role is a plus Former or current pet ownership is a bonus Strong multitasking and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and remain calm under pressure Comfortable with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and more Able to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally assist in emergency situations High school diploma required; veterinary assistant certification is a plus Why Work With Us? $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
