Catoosa Small Animal Hospital is looking to add to our Tech Assistant team! We are a high-volume, multi-doctor practice that offers a broad range of medical and surgical services from routine vaccines to orthopedic and emergency surgery. Our Tech Assistants work closely with our RVT/Assistant team to provide quality patient care and support during shifts! You do not need to have prior experience in the Veterinary field to apply. This position provides an excellent opportunity to experience what it takes to work in a veterinary hospital and can be the first step in pursuing a career in small animal medicine! Duties Include:

• Feed, walk, and clean up after patients
• Properly restrain patients for doctors and other techs/assistants
• Safely administer certain medications/preventions
• Properly clean and sterilize surgical instruments and supplies
• Properly wrap and autoclave surgical instruments, gowns, drapes, etc.
• Perform nail trims, suture removals, and other basic non-doctor appointments
• Monitor hospitalized patients throughout the day
• Assist techs/assistants with procedures when needed
• Clean and stock exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas

Requirements:

• Full-time availability Mon-Fri, rotating Saturday shifts
• Strong work-ethic
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
