Full-Time or Part-Time About the Position We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Veterinary Assistant / Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is compassionate toward animals, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service. Experience is preferred but not required for motivated applicants willing to learn. Basic Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments Properly restrain dogs and cats for examinations and procedures Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, cages, and equipment Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patients Maintain accurate patient records and communicate observations to the medical team Prepare laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostics Stock medical supplies and keep the hospital clean and organized Assist with surgery preparation, instrument cleaning, and recovery monitoring Provide exceptional customer service to clients Follow all hospital safety protocols and standard operating procedures Basic Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback Basic computer skills Positive attitude and professional appearance Previous veterinary or animal care experience is preferred but not required Expectations Employees are expected to: Arrive on time and ready to work each scheduled shift. Treat every patient with compassion and respect. Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate professionally with coworkers and clients. Follow hospital protocols and directions from veterinarians and supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist coworkers whenever needed to ensure quality patient care. Remain calm and professional during emergencies and high-stress situations. Protect patient, client, and hospital confidentiality. Demonstrate honesty, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of the job.
Physical Requirements This position requires:
