Veterinary Assistant

• Full time or part time position available.

We are looking for self-motivated and caring individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our veterinary staff team! Must be reliable, honest and trustworthy and possess the ability to learn quickly and willingly follow direction from doctors and staff. Job Duties (including but not limited to the following): Assist doctors, LVT and other staff members. Patient care for boarding and hospitalized pets including feeding, walking, cage cleaning, bathing, medicating and monitoring for sickness. Perform various laboratory procedures in clinic and prepare samples for shipment to outside lab.

Clinic cleanliness:

maintain all areas of clinic, laundry and supply restocking. Post client charges, prepare medications as directed by veterinarian. Rooming patients/clients and collecting information to relay to veterinarian/LVT. Educate clients as directed. Weekend/Holiday work required on a rotating schedule with other staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Compassion for animals and their owners. Possess strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Team player! Punctual and reliable! Able to arrive to scheduled shifts on time. Ability to lift up to 40lbs. without assistance. Ability to handle stressful, fast paced situations with grace. • Friday 8:00 AM
• 5:30 PM & Saturday 8:00 AM
• 12:00 PM (Please be aware that positions will include shifts outside of these regular office hours including weekends and holidays)
