Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate animal care, assist with medical procedures, and support the overall health and well-being of our diverse patient population. Duties Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic tests, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Perform laboratory work including blood draws, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests utilizing veterinary laboratory equipment. Handle animal restraint and animal husbandry tasks to ensure safe and stress-free procedures for pets of all sizes. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and radiology diagnostics to support accurate diagnostics and treatment plans. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary instructions while monitoring patient responses during anesthesia and critical care procedures. Insert IV catheters, perform phlebotomy, and establish vascular access for fluid therapy or medication delivery in animals requiring emergency or intensive care. Assist with pet care routines including feeding, grooming, kennel management, and ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet health concerns, treatment plans, and post-visit care instructions to foster trust and understanding. Skills Extensive kennel experience with animal handling across various species including dogs, cats, and equines. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary surgical procedures. Proficiency in veterinary anesthesia monitoring, general anesthesia administration, and emergency medicine protocols. Skilled in laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology (X-ray), radiology diagnostics, and laboratory work. Experience with veterinary software systems for record-keeping and appointment scheduling. Ability to perform animal restraint safely using proper techniques for different species and sizes. Familiarity with medical equipment operation including anesthesia machines, radiology equipment, and critical & intensive care tools.
