Reid Veterinary Center is a privately owned, one-doctor veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while creating a supportive and positive workplace for our team. We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care. Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No weekends Full-time position What You'll Do As a Veterinary Technician, you will play an essential role in patient care and daily hospital operations.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor patients under anesthesia before, during, and after surgical procedures Perform dental prophylaxis, including dental scaling and polishing Obtain high-quality dental radiographs Place intravenous catheters Perform blood draws and collect laboratory samples Process in-house laboratory diagnostics Administer vaccines and demonstrate strong knowledge of vaccine protocols Accurately maintain and update electronic medical records Prepare patients for surgery and treatments Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes promptly Clearly communicate patient status and treatment plans with the veterinarian and team members Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area What We're Looking For Veterinary Technician experience required Strong anesthesia monitoring skills Experience with dentistry and dental radiography Excellent venipuncture and catheter placement skills Knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostics Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Exceptional communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Benefits We value our team and offer a competitive benefits package including: Health Insurance Dental Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Employee Pet Discounts Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Supportive team culture No weekends—enjoy work-life balance!
