Job Overview We are a unique veterinary clinic that has both a mobile component as well as a brick and mortar location. The clinic is the only clinic in Fortville, and the mobile unit leaves out of a location in Pendleton within 10 minutes of the clinic. An option for 4 or 5 days a week is possible, with an expectation of 32-40 hours per week. We are a small team that is looking for another team member who is compassionate and eager for new experiences. Self starter that can be held accountable would be an ideal fit to meet the practive needs. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared and sterile. Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments. Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, sample collection, and processing to support diagnostic testing. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory analyzers with precision. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols while monitoring animal responses. Maintain accurate records using veterinary software for patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results. Support pet owners with pet care advice, post-operative instructions, and education on animal health and wellness. Assist in surgical procedures and monitor anesthetic procedures. Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs underneath full anesthesia. Experience Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and care routines. Veterinary technician experience or certification preferred; strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy required. Hands-on experience with dental terminology and procedures such as dental cleanings or extractions. Experience in emergency medicine or critical & intensive care settings is highly valued. Skills in anesthesiology including general anesthesia management, IV insertion, vascular access, and veterinary anesthesia monitoring are essential. Laboratory experience involving phlebotomy (blood draws), diagnostic radiology (X-ray), and pet grooming is advantageous. Ability to handle dogs confidently through training or specialized dog handling skills; familiarity with equine procedures is a plus. Requirements:

Valid Drivers License in good standing. Availability Monday through Friday 7 am to 6 pm, but will not be required to work every day every week. Ability to maintain good hygiene and wear appropriate clothing.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
