About us All Creatures Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, non-corporate practice in downtown Salem, Massachusetts. In business since 2003, under new ownership as of August 2021, All Creatures has been voted Best Veterinarian in Salem 7 years in a row! With 4 full- time doctors and 1 part-time doctor, we are a very busy hospital that sees dogs, cats and exotics. Here at ACVH we care for our staff, show appreciation, and believe in a work life balance. We have an excellent support staff including certified and seasoned technicians, as well as a successful intern program for students of all levels. Located in historic Salem, the area offers exceptional possibilities. 30 minutes north of Boston and 30 minutes from the New Hampshire border, we have access to both city and country life. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, be knowledgeable in the latest veterinary medical practices, and have excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian with medical procedures, providing animal care, administering medications, and educating clients on pet health. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a passionate team of animal care professionals. Job Duties, include but are not limited to,
  • Handling canine, feline, and exotic patients
  • Administering medications, vaccinations and treatments to patients
  • Collecting blood and urine samples
  • Placing catheters, preparing surgical suites, and monitoring patients during surgery
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Acting as a liaison for client communication and explaining standards of care
  • Caring for boarding patients
  • Running in-house laboratory diagnostics
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
