Job Description

Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Partner, is adding services to our brand new hospital in Ellicott City! We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join Internal Medicine team.
Schedule:
Mon-Thurs, 4x10 hour shifts
Pay:
$23.21 - $38.58 / hour + competitive shift differentials This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

Fri:
6pm to 8am = +$4.00/hr .
Shift Differential Sat & Sun:
8am to 6pm = +$4.00/hr.
Shift Differential Sat & Sun:
6pm to 8am = +$5.50/hr. Shift Differential As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will: Prepare, calculate, and administer constant rate infusions (CRIs) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Perform precise medical math calculations to support safe and effective patient care Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort throughout all stages Prepare patients and equipment for advanced imaging procedures, including ultrasound and radiology Assist with and support endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway), including full setup, intra-procedural support, and post-procedure equipment care and maintenance Provide comprehensive discharge support for Internal Medicine patients, including hands-on client education (e.g., insulin administration, subcutaneous fluids, feeding tube management) Deliver compassionate, clear communication to clients, empowering them to confidently manage their pet's ongoing care at home Maintain a high standard of organization, cleanliness, and equipment readiness within the service Adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced Internal Medicine service and contribute to overall team success through additional responsibilities as needed Why BluePearl? The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for LVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150/year. Full-time LVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
