This position requires the animal handling skills and work experience necessary to perform independently and the patience and professional attitude to be part of a high functioning team. This position requires experience in client education, patient history collection, running routine laboratory tests, prepping for surgery, post-op recovery, restraining animals, administering treatments and to perform calmly and professionally at all times. Preferred Education/Licenses:

Graduated from accredited program or previous work experience as a veterinary assistant/technician.

Responsibilities:

Animal restraint, Animal treatment, Customer service Paperwork and keeping detailed records of client visits, calls, and surgeries performed Wrapping and sterilizing packs and other surgical supplies. Disinfecting and sanitizing clinic and equipment routinely. Maintaining and cleaning clinic and equipment routinely. Drawing blood and giving vaccines. Pre and post-operative care. Other duties as needed.
