Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist with medical procedures, and support veterinarians in delivering top-tier veterinary services. Your expertise will help ensure our animal patients receive compassionate, comprehensive care while supporting the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Responsibilities Perform animal handling and restraint to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring anesthesia, and post-operative care Conduct laboratory work such as blood draws, sample collection, and diagnostic testing using veterinary software and radiology diagnostics tools Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary protocols Monitor animals under anesthesia using veterinary anesthesia monitoring equipment and manage critical & intensive care cases Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like IV insertion, animal catheterization, and pet grooming to prevent infections Support diagnostic radiology processes including X-ray imaging and radiology diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs Assist with pet grooming, dog training, and animal husbandry tasks to promote overall well-being of our patients Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to veterinary terminology and animal physiology standards Experience Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, and anesthesia management Kennel experience along with dog handling skills for effective animal restraint and comfort Laboratory experience including phlebotomy, blood work, and diagnostic testing procedures Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology for accurate patient assessment Experience working with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses (equine experience preferred), and other small animals Ability to perform IV insertion, vascular access procedures, and assist in veterinary surgical procedures effectively Join us if you're eager to make a difference in the lives of animals while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values your skills!
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
